Group from Kashmir on goodwill mission meets UP CM

A group of Kashmiris on a goodwill mission started by the Army, met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today at his official residence here.

The group is visiting Uttar Pradesh under the mission in which people of Jammu and Kashmir are taken to different states of the country.

Welcoming the group, most of who hail from the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Minister appreciated the army for the mission launched to promote national integration.

Captain Sajan Subramanium, who is leading the goodwill team said, the group is in the state for 10-days and would also travel to Agra after Lucknow.
 

Jamurid Hussein, the group's head, lauded the programmes run by state government for welfare of poor and weaker sections of the society and also invited the Chief Minister to visit Jammu and Kashmir.
