Union Agriculture and Food Processing Minister Sharad Pawar in a letter to Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said he had constituted the GoM to examine the various aspects for including erosion as an eligible calamity for relief under National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF)/State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), official sources said here today.
Gogoi had earlier written a letter to Pawar requesting him to include river bank erosion in the list of eligible natural calamities for assistance from NDRF/SDRF.
The Group of Ministers would be serviced by Union Ministry of Home Affairs, sources added.
