Groups of youth clash during on Holi

A group of youth allegedly engaged in hooliganism in the Housing Board Colony in Sector-3 of Ballabgarh in the district and vandalised seven cars and a motor bike after following a schuffle with a group of residents today, police said.

The problem started when a group of men were playing holi and people dancing on the tune of drummers in the market at 60 feet road.

"A group of youth yelling and abusing others came in a vechile and asked the people dancing on the road to give way to their vehicle. When the other group refused and asked them to take another road, the matter aggravated and those in the vehicle were allegedly beaten by the colony residents," they said.
 

Following which, the group, which was thrashed, returned return after about an hour with more people and were armed with iron rods and lathis.

"They came abusing all the residents of the sector and hitting all the vehicles parked on the roadside. They broke the glasses of the as many as seven vehicles and a motor bike," police said.

Later, the residents staged a protest in the sector to get compensation of their loss.

A case was registered against them.
