: The Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI) and the Banaras Hindu University, (BHU) in Varanasi Wednesday announced a collaboration in the area academic and research programmes.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Varanasi by city-headquartered GSITI's Deputy Director General and Head Ch Venkateswara Rao and BHU Registrar Neeraj Tripathi, an official release said here.
The MoU would benefit both GSI and BHU to exchange faculty and scientists in areas of common interest to impart training to all stakeholders, it said.
It would also enable both the institutes to collaborate in research of common interest wherein GSI officers would be awarded PhD degrees, the release said.
