Implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) will help reduce corruption in the country, Chairman of Vedanta Resources Anil Agarwal has said.

Agarwal, who was here to meet Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, said that "GST is the best thing in the world to happen here."

Stating that many countries across the globe have uniform tax structure now, he said this should also be implemented in India for better trade and commerce.

He said both the central and state governments will benefit from the GST.

"The days of different tax pattern is no more in existence in the world," Agarwal said.
