GST was implemented in a hurry: Cong leader

Congress general secretary Mohan Prakash today alleged that the GST was implemented in a hurry without taking traders into confidence.

He claimed that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will adversely affect the country's economy and its self-reliance,

Speaking to reporters here, Prakash said, "Implementing GST on the directions of foreign consultants will have negative impact on small and medium enterprises."

After after demonetisation, the new tax legislation has increased problems of the common man, he claimed.

The Congress leader alleged that listing marble as luxury goods in the GST will adversely affect the industry in Rajasthan.
