Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) chief and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Chief Executive Bimal Gurung today declared that the GTA will not be dissolved at any cost.
Addressing a gathering at Dalapchand, Kalimpong, Gurung said that through GTA developments will take place in the hills and the Gorkhaland movement will also be carried forward side by side.
"I have taken this decision after understanding the state government's policies of hindering the Gorkhaland formation by making the GTA unsuccessful," said Gurung who once had thought of resigning from the GTA.

GTA, which was formed finally after a 44 month long agitation by the GJM, still has tenure of 4 years and 4 months.
"GTA is still young and needs to be made stronger," he said.
Gurung also alleged the CRPF of working as agents for the state government.
"We are carrying forward our demand in a democratic way. There is no need for the CRPF to arrive here and scare us for no reason. If they arrest our party workers, then the public should come out in the streets," Gurung said.
