Guar gum futures advance on spot demand

Guar gum prices were higher by Rs 19, or 0.24 per cent at Rs 7,780 per quinal in futures market today as participants raised bets following firm trends at physical markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, the most-traded October contract firmed up by Rs 19 or 0.24 per cent to Rs 7,780 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 39,190 lots.

The November month contract of guar gum also moved up by Rs 5 or 0.06 per cent to Rs 7,886 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 14,865 lots.
