Guar gum prices on Tuesday fell 2.34 per cent to Rs 5,220 per five quintal in futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with weak trend at spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for March delivery fell by Rs 125, or 2.34 per cent, to Rs 5,220 per five quintal in 420 lots.
Guar gum for April delivery eased by Rs 74, or 1.36 per cent, to Rs 5,365 per five quintal in 50,455 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and increased supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
