Guar gum prices slipped Rs 39 to Rs 9,836 per quintal in futures trade today after traders booked profits at existing levels amid a weak trend at the physical market.
Marketmen said besides profit-booking by participants at higher levels, a weak trend at the spot market led to fall in guar gum futures.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum to be delivered in March contracts dropped by Rs 39, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 9,836 per quintal, with an open interest of 19,805 lots.
Also, guar gum for delivery in February fell by Rs 32, or 9,712 per quintal, with an open interest of 60,225 lots.
