Guar gum prices on Thursday gained Rs 26 to Rs 6,362 per five quintal in futures trade as participants created fresh holdings on spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for March delivery traded higher 0.41 per cent, or Rs 26, to Rs 6,362 per five quintal with an open interest of 12,625 lots.
Likewise, the contracts for delivery in April gained Rs 29, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 6,440 per five quintal as open interest stood at 45,960 lots.
Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets which led to rise in guar gum prices.
