Guar gum prices rose by Rs 20 to Rs 9,280 per quintal in futures trading today after speculators built up positions, supported by a firm trend at the physical markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum delivery for delivery in current moved up by Rs 20 or 0.22 per cent to Rs 9,280 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 115 lots.
Guar gum for the most-active, delivery in February also inched up by Re one or 0.01 per cent to Rs 9,380 per quintal, showing the business turnover of 77,370 open lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions created by positiions amid a firm trend at the spot markets, led to the rise in guar gum prices at futures trade here.
