Guar seed prices flared up by Rs 63.50 to Rs 3,870 per quintal in futures trade today on elaboration of exposures by the participants in line with emerging physical markets.
Marketmen said operators were indulged in collecting holdings, taking firm cues from physical markets, which led to the uptrend in guar seed prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, guar seed delivery for December strengthened by Rs 63.50, or 1.67 per cent, to Rs 3,870 per quintal, having an open interest of 6,040 lots.
The contract for January also rose by Rs 62.50, or 1.63 per cent, to Rs 3,887 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,49,610 lots.
