A guard of a nationalised bank
was killed after being hit by a police vehicle in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
A police patrolling vehicle hit Lekh Ram near Chatrokri area leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Civil hospital Sundernagar where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.
Locals held protest and alleged that the driver of the vehicle was drunk after which Assistant Superintendent of Police Mandi Kuldeep Rana ordered registration of a case against the driver of police vehicle.
The vehicle has been impounded and a probe was launched into the accident.
