Guargum prices dropped by Rs 80 to Rs 5,560 per quintal in futures trading today as traders trimmed their positions at higher levels amid a weak trend at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum delivery for April month contract checked by Rs 80 or 1.42 per cent to Rs 5,560 per quintal, in an open interest of 25,691 lots.
In a similar fashion, delivery in May month contracts fell by Rs 80, or 1.40 per cent to Rs 5,640 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,151 lots.
