Guargum prices firmed up by Rs.180 to Rs.14,000 per quintal in future trading today after participants enlarged positions amidst rising export as well as domestic demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum prices for delivery in most-active December month contracts edged up by Rs.180, or 1.30 per cent to Rs.14,000 per quintal, with an open interest of 12,110 lots.
The November contract was higher by Rs.160, or 1.17 per cent to Rs.13,860 per quintal, having an open interest of 323 lots.
Marketmen said the rise in guargum prices at futures trade was mainly attributed to rising domestic and export demand amid tight supplies from growing regions.
