Guargum futures recover on positive domestic, global cues

Guargum was up by Rs 210 to Rs 8,370 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators created positions at prevailing levels amid positive domestic as well as overseas cues

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum prices for delivery in November recovered by Rs 210, or 2.57 per cent to Rs 8,370 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,200 lots.

Also, most-active October delivery also traded higher by Rs 170, or 2.10 per cent to Rs 8,250 per quintal, in an open interest of 19,243 lots.

Marketmen said rebound in guargum prices in futures trade was mostly supported by firming trend at the spot markets on rising demand and positive cues from global market.
