Guargum prices declined by Rs 110 to Rs 8,140 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators trimmed their exposure, tracking a weak trend at the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum for delivery in November dropped by Rs 110, or 1.33 per cent, to Rs 8,140 per quintal, with an open interest of 18,831 lots.
Similarly, guargum for delivery in December was trading Rs 110, or 1.31 per cent lower at Rs 8,290 per quintal, having an open interest of 17,261 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by participants, taking weak cues from spot markets, mainly pulled down guargum prices at futures trade here.
