Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels, guargum prices drifted by Rs 270 to Rs 12,550 per quintal in futures trading today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, guargum prices for first contract May month slided by Rs 270, or 2,11 per cent to Rs 12,550 per quintal, persisting an open interest of 12,123 lots.

Second contract June month too dropped by Rs 250 or 2 per cent to Rs 12,750 per quintal and open interest of 6,974 lots.

Marketmen said apart from profit-booking by participants at higher levels, a weak trend at physical markets sentiment on increased arrivals, led to the fall in guargum prices at futures trade here.
