Guarseed prices strengthened by Rs 69 to Rs 4,400 per quintal in future trading today, mostly supported by fresh demand amid tight supplies.
Guarseed for delivery in April month contracts spurted by Rs 69, or 1.59 per cent to Rs 4,400 per quintal in an open interst of 5,040 lots at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
Also, most-active delivery in May contracts gained Rs 60, or 1.36 per cent to Rs 4,472 per quintal, having an open interest of 36,280 lots.
Marketmen said pick up in demand from guargum makers at spot marekts amidst tight supplies from producing belts influenced guarseed prices at futures trade here.
