Filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro has denied reports that the sequel of his hit 2013 sci-fi "Pacific Rim" has been put on an indefinite hold, saying the movie is still happening.
Del Toro, 50, said he is working on the script of the sequel and insists the film is "not gone", reported Entertainment Weekly.
"We are still turning in a screenplay and a budget in three weeks. As far as I'm concerned, it's not gone. We're still on it," he said.

The filmmaker, however, says the film's delay is only temporary, adding if he was a millionaire he would have made sequel of his movies immediately.
"It (the film) moved further. I may do another movie in the middle... I can tell you this, if I was a billionaire, I would definitely do 'Hellboy 3', 'Pacific Rim 2', and At the Mountains of Madness'. And I would quickly become a millionaire," he said.
"Pacific Rim" starred Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Robert Kazinsky.
