Three labourers were today killed and eight others injured after the truck carrying them fell from a bridge into a river in Tapi district in South Gujarat, police said.
The mishap occurred near Gonsda village, this afternoon, when the paper-pulp laden truck, was going from Ukai to Songadh, D G Tadvi, police inspector of Ukai police station said.
Some labourers were also travelling in the truck.

The truck driver lost control over the vehicle, following which the it turned turtle and fell into the river, the officer said.
While two persons died on the spot, the third one died while being taken to a nearby hospital, Tadvi said.
The deceased were identified as Sanjay Gamit (30), Sunil Gamit (42) and Mangubhai Gamit (35).
