Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel today cancelled her scheduled election rallies in Delhi owing to important engagements in the state, including the upcoming budget session of Legislative Assembly.
"Apart from her pre-scheduled meetings ahead of the Assembly session which will start from February 23, there was also a cabinet meeting today. She is also scheduled to remain present at the inauguration of PlastIndia exhibition tomorrow morning. Thus, she cancelled her visit to Delhi," an official said.
Patel was supposed to address two rallies in Janakpuri and Pritampura in Delhi in support of the BJP contestants.

BJP spokesperson Harshad Patel confirmed that Patel was not going to Delhi.
