Guj CM to outline state's long-term vision in Vibrant Summit

Looking to position Gujarat as the best investment destination, chief minister Vijay Rupani will outline the framework of state's long-term vision during the the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit next year, said officials here on Monday.

A special event, Sprint 2022, showcasing present as well as future investment opportunities in Gujarat, will be organised on January 19, the second day of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, to be held at Mahatma Mandir here between January 18 and 20 next year.

"Sprint 2022 is being organised during Vibrant Summit with an aim to position Gujarat as the best investment destination by highlighting our transformation plan by 2022 and beyond," T Natarajan, MD of GSPC, told reporters here.

 

During this event, the CM will outline the framework of Gujarat's long term vision, highlighting major projects we want to complete by 2022 and where we would take Gujarat by 2035, said Mukesh Puri, Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Urban Housing Department.

Gujarat government will showcase some mega infrastructure and urban projects and their status by 2022, at the event.

Some of the projects to be highlighted during the event are, Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Dedicated Freight Corridor, Dholera SIR, GIFT City, Bullet Train, Statue of Unity and Dream City near Surat.

Industry leaders, entrepreneurs, strategists and top government functionaries would participate in the event, and share their views on subjects like urban planning, affordable housing, transport infrastructure, mobility and social inclusion and multi-modal affordable transport among others, Puri said.
