In yet another attack on Gujarat government, Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela today alleged that it "sold" the 1,600 km-long state coastline to corporate houses to secure funds for Lok Sabha election campaign.

"BJP spent crores in Lok Sabha elections. Sadly, the funding came at a cost of people's security. To get funds from corporates, the government sold the 1,600 km-long coastline to them by allowing them to import whatever they want, as majority ports are now under the control of corporates like Adani," alleged Vaghela at a news conference.

He further claimed that Gujarat government deliberately stalled the development of other ports to benefit Adani-run Mundra port.
