Guj govt transfers eight IPS officers, promotes eight DySPs

The Gujarat Government today transferred eight IPS officers and promoted as many number of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) officers to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).

As per the notification issued by the state Home Department today, SP of Gir-Somnath district A M Muniya has been appointed as the new SP of Dang district.

Muniya has been replaced by H R Chaudhary, who is currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Rajkot city.

Amreli district SP R P Barot has been shifted to Surat as DCP, Zone-1.

Surendranagar district SP R F Sangada has been transferred as DCP-Traffic in Surat. Sangada has been replaced by SP-Intelligence in Gandhinagar, Dipak Meghani.
 

Kutch-East SP, G V Barot, has been appointed as the Commandant of State Reserve Police (SRP), Group-4, Dahod.

JA Patel, Zone-1 DCP in Surat, has been shifted as Amreli SP.

H R Muliyana, serving as DCP-Crime in Vadodara, has been transferred as SRP Commandant, Group-12, Gandhinagar.

The Home Department also promoted eight DySP rank officers to the SP rank, including B R Patel, who has been made the new SP of Kutch-East.
