"She is acting at the behest of Congress. The allegations against our minister were political in nature and despite that she sanctioned his prosecution," Punj said.
The Gujarat Governor had yesterday sanctioned prosecution of Solanki for alleged corruption, overruling a cabinet decision.
"Though the state council of ministers led by the chief minister has not given the sanction to prosecute Solanki, the Governor, overriding her authority, has given the sanction to prosecute him," Punj said adding she has to act as per the aid and advice of council of minister.
Beniwal had been at loggerheads with the Modi government after the former had appointed a lokayukta in the state by-passing the government.
