Gujarat Governor O P Kohli, who is at present in New Delhi, casted his vote online for the Gandhinagar civic polls held today in the state capital.
"Since the Governor is in Delhi, he used his franchise today using online voting facility. He appreciated this facility, which enables voters to cast their votes from anywhere," a statement issued by Gujarat Raj Bhawan said.
Apart from Kohli, 402 other residents of Gandhinagar voted using the online facility, officials of Gujarat State Election Commission (SEC) said.

"Out of these 464 e-voters, 403 persons, including the Governor, used their franchise for this election. It shows around 86.85 per cent e-voters have used the facility, which is very good sign. In the last GMC election, this average was 77 per cent," he added.
