Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Gujarat on August 29 as chief guest at the convocation of Gandhinagar-based Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU).
The university's website informed that Shah, along with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, will attend the convocation ceremony to be held on August 29.
It is expected that Shah would visit Dadra and Nagar Haveli as well, with its administrator Praful Patel telling reporters that Shah may visit the union territory's capital city Silvassa during August-end.
He said Shah is expected to attend various functions, including one to welcome first year students of a medical college, visit Akshaya Patra's kitchen providing meals to 65,000 school students, and ground breaking ceremony for the building of a government-run school.
Patel, on Tuesday, also called a meeting of local leaders, elected representatives and industrialists at Silvassa town hall to discuss various aspects related to Shah's probable visit.
