Two police constables were injured when a police team returning after arresting 10 persons for gambling was attacked by a mob at Galiyavad village in Dahod district, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when the police party was returning from village after arresting ten persons on charges of gambling, Dahod taluka police station sub-inspector P S Jadeja said.
Police today registered offence under various sections of IPC against 66 persons and arrested 30 of them.

Two constables, identified as Yogesh Gadhvi and Mayur Dwarag, sustained injuries when the mob attacked the police party with swords and sticks.
"Those accused persons had attacked cops when our team was returning from Galiyavad village here after nabbing around 10 persons for running a gambling den," the sub-inspector said.
The incident occurred when the police convoy, along with the ten accused, was moving out of the village when one of the accused Viju Sanghada started shouting for help, following which a mob of around 100 people gathered there.
"Soon after that, they started hurling stones at police and also attacked them with swords and sticks, in which two constables sustained injuries," Jadeja said.
He said the police personnel somehow managed to flee from the spot.
"Police today formed around ten teams in the district and finally succeeded in nabbing 30 persons," Jadeja said, adding they are looking for other accused persons.
