Gujarat Assembly Speaker Vaju Vala, who has been appointed as the Governor of Karnataka, received a warm farewell from both BJP and Congress leaders in the state Assembly today.
Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel, leader of Opposition Shankarsinh Vaghela, state ministers and legislators from the ruling and opposition parties were present at the farewell function, an official press release said.
Speaking at the function, Patel said that Vala would emerge as an "ideal governor" and expressed her best wishes.
Vala extended his heartiest thanks to all those who were present on his farewell occasion.
