Gujarat CM celebrates her 74th birthday with kids

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel today celebrated her 74th birthday with students of a government-run primary school in Chandkheda here and distributed sweets among the school children.

Earlier in the day, Patel went to Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar and took the blessings of Governor O P Kohli on her birthday, an official release said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah greeted her over the phone on her birthday, it said.

During the day, several dignitaries greeted Patel at her office, including newly appointed Union Minister of State(MoS) for Home Hari Chaudhari, Chief Secretary to Gujarat Government D J Pandian and many other top officials.
 

At the party level, BJP doctors' cell in the city conducted health check-up camps for women at 17 different hospitals.

"We celebrated her birthday by organising gynaecological check-up camps at 17 hospitals, where we examined around 1,000 women. We also set a record by conducting Pap Smear Tests on 851 women in a single day," Ahmedabad BJP doctors' cell convenor Dharmendra Gajjar said.
