Supporting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Team India' call, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel today stressed the need for coordination between the police forces of various states.

"There is need for coordination between police forces of various states, to work jointly as team India, building bridges between police and public. It will check inter-state crime and it will be easier to nab criminals taking shelter in another state," Patel said.

She was speaking at the inaugural event of the 44th All India Police Science Congress in Gandhinagar.

"The criminal world is assuming new techniques and police should also adopt modern technology," she said.

The Police Science Congress will provide a platform to share knowledge and experience of police forces, she added.
