Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has inaugurated the state's first Industrial Promotion Cell (IPC) to facilitate investment in Kutch ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

The industrial promotion cell was conceptualised by Kutch Collector M S Patel with help from Federation of Kutch Industries Associations (FOKIA), according to a release issued here today.

The primary objective is to facilitate investors in Kutch by being the nodal agency to provide information to prospective investors about availability of resources, procedures to be followed, as well as educate investors about government policies while purchasing land for projects in Kutch, the release said.

The Kutch Collectorate has set up the cell at District Industries Centre in Bhuj, spread across 1,000 square feet.

The cell office also has a conference room to hold meetings with investors, the release said.

FOKIA plans to use this platform to market Kutch as an "ideal" investment destination at the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

The release said the state government plans to replicate this initiative across all other districts.
