Gujarat CM inaugurates 'Praveshotsav' for urban areas

After the completion of school enrolment drive -- 'Shala Praveshotsav -- for rural areas, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel today inaugurated drive for enrolment of girls in the schools in the urban areas of south Gujarat from Surat today.

She enrolled children in three government-run primary schools and launched the official website of Surat Nagar Primary Education Committee. She also distributed specially prepared health kits to the women Anganwadi (nursery) workers, said an official release.

Shala Praveshotsav was organised at Rander and Udhna based schools in the presence of Surat MP Darshana Jardosh, Navsari MP CR Patil, police commissioner Rakesh Asthana, municipal commissioner M K Das, district Collector Jaiprakash Shivhare among others.
