Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and a 26-member delegation of industry and officials will visit China, her first foreign trip as a head of state along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The visit of the Chief Minister, officials said, is a follow up of the Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the state in September last year, where breaking protocol Prime Minister Modi had come to receive him in his home state.
In the six-day tour starting from tomorrow and concluding on May 20, Gujarat delegation led by Patel will visit cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, officials in the Chief Minister's Office said today.

Last year, during Jinping's visit to Gujarat three bilateral agreements were signed including sister-state province agreement to develop cultural and social ties between Guangdong Province and Gujarat State, sister-city agreement between Guangzhou City and Ahmedabad, and setting up of Industrial Parks in Gujarat.
