Gujarat govt orders enquiry into reservoir breach at Vadodara

The first breach took place on Monday while the second one was noticed early today.

Minister for Water and Irrigation Nitin Patel visited the site at the reservoir today and also held discussions with top officials here.

He later told newsmen that the government has ordered an enquiry into the breaches and the situation was now under control.

Vadodara district development officer Rakesh Shankar said that the people who were shifted to a relief camp at a school have returned.

Vadodara Municipal Commissioner Ashwini Kumar said the distribution of water in the city was not affected due the breaches.
