Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today asked state departments to prepare a 10-point roadmap to solve the problems of the people.

He was speaking at the three-day "Chintan Shibir", a brainstorming session of the state government, which began here today.

Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, along with senior bureaucrats of the state, are attending the session.

A state government release said that 200 participants, including probationary IAS officers, will take part in various discussions in order to usher good governance.

Key issues that will be discussed include urban administration, new opportunities in the agricultural sector, measures to bring down child and mother mortality rates, malnutrition, rural development and improving the quality of education, the release added.

CM Rupani asked bureaucrats not to stick to just GRs (government resolutions) while taking decisions of public interest in a transparent manner, the release said.

"There are problems which could be resolved through dialogue. Indecisiveness affects the road of development. So it is necessary to take prompt decisions. The government which takes prompt decisions creates a good image among the masses," the release quoted Rupani as saying.

Rupani asked departments to prepare a 10-point roadmap to solve people's problems, the release added.

Chief Secretary J N Singh said that the session will help Gujarat scale new heights as a growth engine.

The last such session was held in 2015. It was first held in 2004 under then Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
