Gujarat govt transfers 17 IPS officer ahead of polls

Sharma who was heading special branch of Ahmedabad city has been transferred to the post of joint commissioner of police, crime branch, of the Ahmedabad city.

On his return to the state after serving in BSF, senior IPS officer A K Surolia was posted as additional DGP (security) at Gandhingar.

DIG Rahul Sharma was transferred from Rajkot to armed unit

Of Vadodara.

DIG (law and order) Raju Bhargav was transferred from Gandhinagar to the post of additional commissioner (traffic) to Ahmedabad, while S M Katara, who was additional commissioner traffic has been transfered as DIG law and order in Gandhinagar.

 

Also, nine police superintendents of have been transferred to different districts in the reshuffle.

Most of those who have been transferred had completed three years at their post.

Apart from IPS officers, 53 DySP level officers were also transferred by the state government today.

The government had also transferred 31 IAS officers a couple of days back.
