The Gujarat High Court today rejected a public interest litigation against the computerised written test conducted by the Regional Transport Office for issuing a driving licence.

The division bench of Justices Akil Kureshi and J B Pardiwala rejected the PIL after Ahmedabad RTO assured the court that the persons who do not know how to operate the computer will be provided assistance during the test.

Petitioner Amit Kalidas had contended that uneducated persons would be denied the licence because of the computerised test even if they know how to drive.
