Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers Q2 Net at Rs 52.67 cr

State-run Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers (GNFCL) today reported a net profit of Rs 52.67 crore for the quarter ended on September 30.

The company had a net loss of Rs 30.37 crore in the year ago period.

Total income from operations decreased to Rs 1,151.57 crore during the July-September quarter from Rs 1,293.58 crore in the year ago period, as per the company's BSE filing.

"In view of increase in profit from Bharuch and other operations in the reporting period, the company has achieved profit of Rs 52.67 crore in the Q2 of 2015-16 as against loss of Rs 30.37 crore in Q2 of 2014-15," the filing said.
 

Shares of the company closed at Rs 63.25 apiece on BSE.
