Gujarat Pipavav Port Q1 Net dips 7% to Rs 57 cr

Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd (GPPL) today posted a 6.79 per cent fall in standalone net profit at Rs 55.69 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2017.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 59.75 crore in the year-ago period, Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd said in a BSE filing.

During the first quarter, total income rose to Rs 178.2 crore, from Rs 173.8 crore in the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal.

The firm's total expenses were at Rs 91.9 crore in the June quarter, as against Rs 92.1 crore the year-ago period.

Shares of the company ended down 1.30 per cent at Rs 137 apiece on BSE.
