Of the two more complaints filed by the party with the Election Commission one is against a poll official for "touching the feet of chief minister Narendra Modi".

"At the time of elections, yoga gurus and so-called religious babas, by way of organising yoga shibirs, are appealing to people to vote for a particular party in violation of the model code," PCC Vce-President Girish Parmar said in a letter to Gujarat Chief Electoral Officer Anita Karwal.

"On an earlier occasion too, we had represented against such religious leaders who are working at the behest of a particular political party but no action has been taken so far against them," Parmar said.

Though the party did not name any leader in its complaint, yoga guru Ramdev has been touring the state and campaigning against Congress for the last few days.

In the other complaint, Congress has alleged the attack on its Leader of Opposition in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Badruddin Sheikh was political in nature and the Election Commission should take strict action against those who are involved in it.

Sheikh was attacked on Sunday night following an altercation over parking row. He had been admitted to the hospital and is recuperating.

In its third complaint, Congress has submitted a photograph showing a Deputy Secretary entrusted with election-related duty touching the feet of Narendra Modi.

"He can touch the feet as a respect to the chief minister. But when he is working as a Deputy Secretary in the Election Commission, his step may come in the way of doing election-related duties", Congress leader Manish Doshi said in a letter to Karwal.
