Six persons were killed and ten injured in two accidents in Banaskantha and Surat districts today, police said.
Four pilgrims were killed and four others injured near the temple town of Ambaji in Banaskantha district when the SUV in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck this morning.
The victims were from Anand district, police said.

The accident took place on the state highway between Ambaji and Khedbrahma, 8 km from the temple town.
The deceased were identified as Poonabhai Parmar, Vinod Prajapati, Banshilal Padhiya and Lakshman Padhiya.
In Surat, a school van mowed down a labourer couple sleeping on the footpath in Khatodara locality this morning.
They were identified as Lalsinh Tila and his wife Sumitraben Tila. Six others sleeping on the footpath were injured. They were taken to the government hospital, police said.
The driver of the van, Yakub Vasava, was arrested.
