A Gujarati girl, allegedly lured to Bihar on the pretext of marriage and gangraped after being kept confined in a house, was rescued when she managed to send word of her ordeal through a vegetable seller in the district, police said today.
The girl was rescued on January 9 from a house in Raniparti village after being brought there on December 9 by a young man who had promised to marry her, but confined her in a house and repeatedly gangraped her along with another man, Additional Superintendent of Police Amir Javed said.
The girl narrated her ordeal to a vegetable seller. The vegetable seller on January 7 informed her family, which contacted the Rosera police station, after which she was rescued, Javed said.
The two young men, identified as Rahul Singh and Murari Singh, were arrested on the complaint of the girl in the Rosera court, he added.
