Dubai-based Gulf Petrochem Group today commissioned the first phase of its liquid cargo storage terminal at the Pipavav Port in Gujarat.
The terminal can handle 2.5 lakh kilo litres of liquid cargo per annum, which can help ease supply and availability of petroleum, non-petroleum and petrochemical cargo in the Northern markets.
The first phase of the terminal has a capacity of 1.1 lakh KL and the second phase with a capacity of 1.4 lakh KL, which will be commissioned by mid-March.
"This project stands as a stepping stone for the terminal storage sector, further consolidating our plans for India and also our future investments, further strengthening Gulf Petrochem's position as a leading player in the global oil space," Gulf Petrochem director Manan Goel said in a media statement.
