TV shows 'Gumrah' and 'The Buddy Project' have been awarded with the best non-fiction and the best fiction show respectively at the Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards.

'Gumrah' is a crime show while 'The Buddy Project' is about a group of students. Both the shows air on Channel V.

'Dil Dosti Dance', a show about a group of youngsters passionate about dancing, won the Best Choreography Award.

"We started this journey three years ago when we had barely 3-4 hours of original content a week. And now our slew of shows have not only been topping ratings but also winning industry awards like the ITA. We are really in a unique position as we've carved a genre for ourselves," said Prem Kamath, Channel V's GM and EVP.
