Gunmen attacks NATO oil tanker in Pakistan

An oil tanker carrying fuel for NATO troops in Afghanistan was set ablaze by two unknown gunmen today after they shot bullets at the vehicle in southwestern Balochistan province of Pakistan, police said.

Two attackers riding a motorbike fired bullets at the oil tanker due to which it immediately caught fire,

The fire also set ablaze a car which was passing by during the attack. The incident occurred in Dera Murad Jamali area of the province, Imdad Hussain, a local police officer said.

There were no casualties as the truck driver and his helper as well as the occupants of the car jumped out to save their lives, Hussain said.
 

The attackers fled the scene after the incident.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack.

NATO supply trucks, which carry supplies like fuel, munitions and food often are targeted by militants on their journey between the Pakistani port city of Karachi and border crossing points.
