At least three Pakistani policemen were killed today when unidentified gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in the restive southern port city of Karachi.
The policemen were on a routine patrol when the gunmen targeted their vehicle in Bhangoria Goth area.
A sub-inspector and two constables were killed and another policeman was injured in the attack, said an official.

The assailants managed to escape after the attack.
Security forces have launched a manhunt to nab the attackers after cordoning off the area.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Taliban are active in the city and often attack the security forces.
The attack came a day after security forces killed seven wanted men including four Taliban militants. A police official said that today's attack could be reaction to yesterday's killing of militants.
Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial has ordered a probe.
