Delhi BJP leader Vijender Gupta has alleged a "scam" in hiring of private security agencies by the Delhi government, a charge rubbished by the government.
"We do not respond to such baseless and ridiculous charges," said a senior government official.
However, Gupta, in a statement, alleged that the government engaged private firms for providing security to hospitals on "nomination basis" without calling any tender and in "violation" of Union government norms in this regard.
